July 4th comes but once a year,
Where Americans gather in celebration and cheer,
To honor the signing of the declaration,
Which marked the independence of our fine nation,
We proudly wear red, white and blue,
To show our American spirit through and through,
People gather from far and wide,
Paying homage to this land where we reside,
From picnics, parades, and concerts galore,
To reunions, barbecues, fairs and so much more,
With fireworks booming loud above us in the night sky,
We say thanks to another year of independence to pass by!
