This is how she came to be: I remember the day gigi came into my life. I stared at her blankly as my cousin was handing me a peace offering for giving away a collectible doll that belonged to my daughter. I didn’t have the heart to toss her in the trash, so I sat her in my studio. From time to time I’d glance at her and grin. She was pretty funny-looking. Could you imagine her sitting at the coffee shop, or in the dentist’s chair? That’s when the whole concept began.
